Band Playing (Ram Niwas Bagh) An age old tradition of "Band Playing" has been revived by the Department of Tourism at the Ram Niwas Bagh. This entertainment programme would be held every Saturday evening. Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh started this tradition in 1872 A.D. He invited a band master from Germany and formed a group which played the band every Monday evening after the sun set. This tradition continued till 1956, after which it faded out.
