Parashuama Tal and Renuka Temple (100km) At the base lake is the peak where Rishi Jamadagini is said to have mediated. A footpath leads to this. There is as a small temple and it offers an excellent view of the lake and surrounding area.

Renuka lake Legand gas it that when the evil Sahasarjuna killed the sage Jamadagini and tries to abduct his wife Renuka, the flung herself into the water. The gods restored her to life and this and a track encircles the waters. Boats are available on hire from the hotel.

Mini Zoo (2km) You can boat across the lake or drive to this zoo. Which has Asiatic licons, spotted deer, lion tailed macaques nilgal mithun, barking deer and Himalayan blackbears.

Lion Safari (2km) Adjoining the zoo, an armoured van enters the large enclouser allowing for a close gilmpse of the lions within.

Jataun (5km) The dam of the Girl Hydel projects is here and angling for Mahaseer (River Carp) may be done.
