How to Go
Varanasi is very easily accessible from all parts of the country. Very well connected by road, rail and air,the city offers convenient and comfortable traveling options to and from any city of India.

AIR
Indian Airlines flies to Babatpur airport, which is 22 kms. from Varansi and 30 kms from Sarnath. There is a direct, daily flight connection between Varanasi and New Delhi. It also connects Varanasi to Delhi, Agra, Khajuraho, Kolkata, Mumbai, Lucknow and Bhubaneshwar. Taxis are also available for transfer.

RAIL
Varanasi is an important and major rail junction. The city is served by trains from all metros and major cities across the country. New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, madras, Gwalior, Meerut, Indore, Guwahati, Allahabad, Lucknow, Dehradun the city has direct rail connections. Mughal Sarai Station (16 kms) from varanasi.

Varansi, on (National Highway) NH2 from Kolkata to Dehi , NH2 to Kanya Kumari and NH 29 to Gorakhpur is connected literally to the rest of the country by good motorable, all weather roads.

LOCAL TRANSPORT
Taxis : No yellow top taxis are available . Private taxis are available from travel agencies, hotels, etc. the rates of which are negotiable. Un-metered auto rickshaws, Cycle rickshaw and tempos are also readily available.
